The session was conducted at the B\u00e9thanie Life Center in N\u2019Djamena, in partnership with the Terrazhirra company.<\/p>\n\n<p>The objective was to improve the care of malnourished infants by encouraging their mothers to attend regularly. To achieve this, it was essential that they find a dual benefit: receiving medical follow-up for their child while also using this time to learn an income-generating activity within the facility.<\/p>\n\n<p>The 20 mothers participating in this pilot project showed strong commitment, and the first harvests (lettuce, parsley, vegetables) already demonstrate the program\u2019s tangible impact.<\/p>\n\n<p>The benefits have been confirmed both in terms of the care and monitoring of malnourished infants, as well as in the transfer of skills within families and the wider community.<\/p>\n\n<p>Building on this success, the Perenco Foundation and all its partners have expressed their willingness to renew the program, with the aim of expanding its reach and continuing this momentum of women\u2019s empowerment and support for local communities.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After three months of training, the first session of the urban agriculture program has come to an end with very encouraging results.
