In 2024, the Perenco Foundation, in partnership with IECD and RDCED, carried out an assessment of entrepreneurship in Muanda, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This analysis highlighted a key need: to train and support local entrepreneurs in order to foster their development in a rapidly expanding economy.
It was in this context the Craft’Lab was born: a dedicated space where entrepreneurs can learn, train, exchange ideas and develop their business, while promoting local expertise.
To date, Craft’Lab has already supported two groups of 30 entrepreneurs, mostly women, through entrepreneurial and technical training, particularly in tailoring and agri-food processing.
On 7 February, during the Craft’Lab inauguration ceremony, 60 entrepreneurs received their certificates in the presence of representatives from the IECD, RDCED, the Perenco Foundation and Perenco employees.
A promising project, growing rapidly and making an impact on the local community.
