The Perenco Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with the Betsaleel and Terrazhirra associations in Chad, for the launch of a pilot project at the Béthanie Centre in N’Djamena, which takes care of babies suffering from malnutrition.
The aim of this project is to train the mothers of these children – who are all in vulnerable situations – in urban agriculture and provide them with the necessary equipment, so that they can start income-generating activities.
It also aims to encourage these mothers to bring their children back to the centre every week, to ensure regular monitoring and to facilitate their recovery.
This three-month project, specifically designed for the Béthanie Centre, began in December and is already showing very encouraging results.
